Economic fears got you in a Fight, Flight, or Freeze position?

As I was sitting in my office today a past client and dear friend came by. She came from across the country to do some business in town and felt she just needed to stop by to say hi.

Let me give you a little back ground on this wonderful woman. She is a power house in the world of media. She came with a word of encouragement and perseverance because of the national financial position we have found ourselves in.

She was talking about how the next 5 years the price of oil would become outrageous and jobs would become almost nonexistent. But her message was not doom and gloom it was one of positive change. (Boy did she take on her life strategy training)

In fact with her constant high energy, she was consistently giving ways to look at life through in a positive way. She was not falling into a free fall of despair of not knowing what is going to take place in the future.

She commented that her company was struggling to make pay role and keep people encouraged. She said that the United States might become an agriculture based economy for survival in the near future.

And again “what you see is what you get” if you see the future as an economic tragedy and that Mad Max is ready to shoot you for your food you are in fear. You are living a life in fight, flight, or freeze.

But on the other hand if you are motivating yourself and others to become the best that everyone can be. You will never go without a strong network of support; and you will find yourself at the top of the heap after this storm blows over.

Yes this storm will simply blow over, the sun will come out and the birds will sing. The truth is no one knows how long the storm will last, or how much erosion will take place during the storm.

But those that meet the storm mentally and emotionally prepared will find themselves emerging out of the mist with a stronger conviction of who they are. More importantly – those that engage by intending to be prosperous during the storm with like minded people will come out with a new social and financial strength needed for a life filled with success.

Live to your potential, and you will prosper. Live to your fear, and you will fail.

I am a research nut.

When it comes to understanding the mystery of the human being or anything related to having a better experience called life, I find myself spending hours and sometimes days lost in reading or talking to experts.

One of the truths that have become evident to me is that if you don’t feel good physically it is hard to do good mentally. I’m sure you have been there… You go on vacation, drive for days to get to the happiest place on earth and eat nothing but junk food.

You wake up with the desire to have the best day of your life. But then after a few minutes the dark cloud comes over your head and you become a total thunder cloud of ornery.

But in reality who is really driving the thought at that specific time, who is the person behind the eyes. And at that exact time you are loosing it, you can say the voices made me do it.

I’m sure you have heard the phrase “you are what you eat,” may I suggest that negative food is truly a body snatcher.

I say this because food truly takes over the brain, in fact virtually all food cravings are your brain looking for the nutrition it needs. If you have a physically demanding day your body will require a lot of good nutritious food. But like most your brain is the organ that has the greatest control on intake to keep it operating at peak efficiency. Even at the sacrifice of the body.

You are what you eat has a whole new meaning.

Do you think like a Twinkie or a Ho-Ho? Does you brain need a pot of coffee to work because of the dozen doughnuts you ate?

Feed the brain clean food to begin with and the rest of the body will keep up with proper health.

But the real catch to eating healthy is to understand that the only time we put negative food in our mouth is when we are having negative thoughts. Lets say you are feeling a little down, you stop by the store to get a few things and low and behold you leave the store with the donuts, candy bars, and possibly that half gallon of ice cream just in case.

The negative thoughts are where all addiction comes from. In time the negative thought has a mind of its own and becomes the voice in your head that can only be quieted with one more hit of what ever your addiction is.

All the way from ice cream to alcohol the brain finds comfort to drive the negative thoughts from your head and dulling it with over indulgence.

So better stated you are what you think you are. Thought is the foundation to change and until new thought is accomplished we will always accept old ways of living.

Entering any method of life changing process is to change your thought into a new vision of results because what you see is what you get in living color every time.

My constant companion thought: “What You See Is What You Get” comes up today in a large sense.

I am in the process of closing down a business that could not generate enough clients to cover labor and overhead with the down-turn of the economy.

With all the turn of events and watching how all the players in the business are playing their game; it becomes clear how they are seeing what they are getting.

Some of the employees are seeing that the end of the world is close at hand and others have already found a new job that pays more than they were making before.

In the book “Who Moved My Cheese” some are still standing in the cheese room wondering how to find cheese in an empty room. But the ones that are running around looking for a better way have already found one.

Today my client had a beautiful class. The beginning of every class I ask the participants to share their wins.

You might be asking what a win is. Well a win is something you desire to improve in your life and what you did to make the change and to describe what happened.

The brain is designed to protect you from pain so it will naturally cause you to think about pain and how to avoid it. And your brain is just like riding a bike, what you focus on is where the bike will go. So if you are focusing on the negative in your life you will constantly drive your life right into the negative.

And negative thoughts always become negative people. So to train your mind on how to create wins and to share your wins will create positive thoughts to become successful people.

My client has had many wins just in one day. But the one that is the greatest for him at this time is that the $100,000 that he needed to start his business was not only deposited in his bank but an opportunity to use that money in a different way became available.

Well now his business plan has changed from a simple start up to investing in a special fund that will allow him to become active in an internet business that will generate much more than just a living to a financially free lifestyle.

Really “What You See Is What You Get” and I have to tell you that my client has a good vision for his life.
