Life Is Beautiful When You Find Who You Are

I went for a drive out into the country today and noticed the horses calmly standing in the sun. It reminded me of my younger years growing up in the ranching business.

The days were long, hard, and the work was never ending.

While I’m working my tail off, the livestock just watch me having no care or measure of time. They would only get excited in the face of danger or when they were hungry. I never once saw the livestock have any experience of pressure to get the work done.

They ate when they were hungry, lay down when they were tired, and went for a walk whenever they wanted to.

At first this seemed like a beautiful life; to not have any responsibility or commitments. But in reality it would only take a few day of doing what a horse does out in pasture and boredom would become your ultimate enemy.

You would do almost anything as a human to avoid that kind of a prison in captivity and trapped in a life filled with boredom. But in reality most people are living a life that is not satisfying or rewarding.

They have become a product of their environment wanting to get out of the captivity and they feel they are trapped in their circumstances.

Can I ask you a real personal question? Who the hell are you?

Who is the real person that lives deep down inside wanting to come out? Have you put the real person out to pasture hoping that some miracle will change your life?

While coaching many individuals this is commonly the most challenging and difficult question to be asked.

Really who are you?

Until that question is answered, real joy or peace of mind can never be lasting.

The process of unlocking your God given talents takes some determination, accountability, and inspiration to fully experience a major part of your potential.

And only when you are experiencing your potential in action while performing what you were meant to do can you get that inner feeling of joy.
